Pilcher Locations - Falmouth

Falmouth – holiday resort and third largest natural harbour in the world. The estuary is guarded by two Henry VIII castles, Pendennis and St Mawes. Main port for trading vessels and Packet Ships for centuries. Now big marina,  National Maritime Museum and many tropical gardens close by such as Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick

The coast around Falmouth and the town itself was used for: “Voices in Summer”, “Doves in the Wind”, “Blossom of Life” and “The long Road to Happiness”. About 3 miles outside of Falmouth you will find the lovely village of Mylor and might recognise the church. Falmouth harbour is visible in the 2005 production “Above the Clouds”, the library at the main square models for the inland revenue building of the story.

Around Trelissick Garden by Sithians the location hunters found the ficticious manor house of “Tremenheere” and some lovely cottages for filming  Voices in Summer” (not open to visitors) The old courtyard at Trelissick Garden was used as chocolate factory in “Amazing Grace”.
